Movie star. George Clooney
Some people have dogs. Some people have cats. Others prefers small mammals like gerbils and mice. Still others need to stay away from fur, and so they get aquariums populated with fish.
And then there was George Clooney, who famously preferred pigs.
Well, not just pigs in general, but his pet pig, a 280-pound Vietnamese black bristled, pot-bellied pig named Max.
Well, the star of “Leatherheads,” “Good Night, and Good Luck”, the “Oceans” movies and many, many more, lost his beloved swine in 2006. And now, he wants to get back in touch and has apparently hired a psychic to speak to his dead pig from beyond the grave.
George has reportedly told a friend: "The psychic told me Max had a great life with me. He is very happy in spirit and still hangs out with me sometimes. I am not sure she was telling the truth but I do want to believe her," he said.
Max was a big part of Clooney’s life: he lived in Clooney's Hollywood Hills home, and slept in Clooney's bed, for over 18 years. He is often credited with saving Clooney's life by waking him up before an earthquake in Los Angeles on January 16, 1994. Clooney said shortly after Max's death: “He was a big part of my life. It's strange how animals become a big part of your family. They really become a big issue with you."
He vowed never to get another pig following the loss of the pet he affectionately called 'Max the star'.

If the psychic made him feel better, then the session was successful. I do believe that contacting a animal who has died is possible, so who is to say the psychic was not correct.
Slightly crazy, but it's sweet how much he loved his porcine pal. Just so we're clear, though, pigs don't have souls or spirits anymore than humans have, so it's impossible to "contact" them after they've died. Except, of course, through our memories of them.
I don't subscribe to the "it made him feel better" argument. Either it is possible to communicate with a dead animal or it is not. If it is not, then the psychic is a fraud selling lies. In this case, the victim of the lies may feel better, but he is a victim nonetheless. Providing good feelings does not excuse exploitation.
While there are people who have special power.
