Tony & Rory perform with the Purina Dog Team
Hailing from Newcastle, Indiana, a man and his dog beat out the 'Stevie Wonder' wonder, Charles DeWayne, to make it into the top 20 on ‘America’s Got Talent.’
Trainer Tony Hoard came to the popular TV competition via the Purina® Incredible Dog Team, which performs Frisbee tricks and other amazing feats in a highly stylized show which tours around the country performing at halftime shows, on television programs and a variety of other public events. His teammate on America’s Got Talent is Rory, an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd and three-time Skyhoundz World Champion, with an “outstanding work ethic,” who is a mind-boggling jumper who always seems to land on his feet.
Tony’s full entourage includes five other incredible dogs: Zaniee “J”, a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd, who loves to illustrate the “aussie tuck” during jumping routines while also amusing the crowd by walking on her back legs; an extremely energetic a two-year-old Australian Shepherd, named Q-TEE Pup who has already taken home a top three finish in an international competition, and amazes fans with his ability to walk backward up a wall, Seven of Nine, who is the smallest team member, at only 16 inches tall, but was still able to take home the 2006 Micro-Dog World Championship, Elektra Blu, a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd, who is also showing great jumping potential, and the newest of the bunch, Mowgli, a 5-month-old Australian Shepherd, who loves watching his older brothers and sisters play with flying discs!
When Tony is not performing on America’s Got Talent or elsewhere, he works full-time at a manufacturing company in Indiana. But, if the votes continue to pour in, that may change.

I am Karen Barnett, president of Steele Rose Communications, an award-winning PR and marketing communications agency I founded in 2001 and CEO of a new venture I am finally (!) launching next week, Paws4Claws.com. Borne out of love for pets and merged with a strong philanthropic belief, Paws4Claws is devoted to improving the lives of pets and the people who love and care for them. With 26,000 pets abandoned everyday and nearly 60,000 foreclosed weekly across the country, economic euthanasia and people displacement is frighteningly growing by leaps and bounds. Our goal is to educate the public on this growing trend, raise funds for rescue groups and shelters, facilitate successful job placement in the pet industry and provide some much needed fun social interaction in the process. I live in Chapel Hill, I have a daughter 14,a son who is a junior in college,a unique perspective as a women in business, married my high school sweetheart, married 28 & work with him every day! 919.240.5803.
