The top eight poker tips to avoid losing your shirt!

 I lost a lot of money last night!  In analysis, I have to admit that I broke every one of my golden rules that I formed after interviewing great players like Daniel Negreanu for the book Poker Wizards.
 
  1. Don’t drink and play
  2. Be well rested
  3. Stay Focused
  4. Play within your bankroll
  5. Observe, Observe, Observe
  6. Know your opponents
  7. Just play solid poker against idiots
  8. Don’t play if the results don’t matter

Although some may seem obvious they are often hard to follow and just about every losing session involves one or more of these very important poker rules. Over the next few days I will go through the list one by one.
