The British paper, the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Tiger Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, plans to divorce in California to take advantage of the state's generous divorce laws. She has also hired a private detective to figure out how much he is worth. She plans to collect half of what he has earned since they have been together, an amount estimated at $300 million. There are conflicting reports about where Nordegren was over the the New Year's weekend. Nordegren turned 30 on New Year's Day. People Magazine and others reported that she was in the French Alps with her twin sister. But TMZ cites a Florida neighbor who spotted Nordegren walking her dog on Thursday, New Year's Eve. The National Enquirer is publishing photos of Tiger Woods in a romantic embrace with an apparent mistress in California last year. But wait, there could be more to come. According to the Enquirer, Woods' wandering eye started early in his relationship with wife Elin Nordegren. A new video is being shopped around for hundreds of thousands of dollars, that according to an Enquirer source, shows Woods with one of his mistresses in California. The video was shot before Woods married but after he was engaged to Nordegren. Click here for more.
The attorney for David Letterman's accused extortionist is using the Woods scandal to help in his client's defense. The attorney wrote in court papers that if it is legal for Woods' mistress Rachel Uchitel to seek payment for her silence, his client should not be charged for doing the same thing. Tiger Woods voluntarily allowed Florida Highway Patrol troopers to inspect his upper body including his chest, back, hands, and arms, according to an exclusive report on Orlando station WESH-TV, The troopers said there was no signs of domestic violence and that the only visible injury was a "fat lip" that they say was consistent with Woods hitting the steering wheel. Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel spoke briefly to a Florida television station, She had the opportunity to deny that she is seeing Woods but instead said she wouldn't comment on the reports. Some have suggested that she is intentionally feeding the rumors for attention and to keep herself associated with Woods. Is she playing the press? A widely circulated e-mail reports that Woods went to Arizona just after he was released from the hospital on the day of his crash. The purpose of the Arizona trip was to be treated for facial injuries. According to the e-mail, Woods' injuries were so severe that he required extensive plastic surgery in Arizona. Woods' agent said the story wasn't true. Veteran sportswriter Furman Bisher reported the story and said the information was given to him by a trustworthy colleague. It is unclear whether the e-mail was the result of Bisher's story or if Bisher printed the story not knowing that he had been forwarded a viral e-mail. Meanwhile, the Woods scandal has been fodder for comics since day one. Now, the scandal has been immortalized in Jib-Jab's annual look back to the year that was. Near the end of the video, a cut out of Nordegren can be seen whacking Woods with a golf club. It appears that the Tiger Woods scandal was a bit of an afterthought. Meanwhile, there is more fallout from alleged mistress Jamie Jungers' profanity-laced radio interview Monday. On Tuesday, a Radar Online reporter was interviewed on the same show and said Jungers is lying about not having nude photos of Woods and is lying about her ex-fiancee being the cause of her relationship with Woods being made public. The New York Post reports that Woods was a regular at a New York City strip club but always acted like a strip club "virgin," like he had never been in a strip club before. The Post and the New York Daily News are also reporting that the Stanford alum was surrounded by a group of assistants who covered for him but also tried to warn him of the risks he took with image. Well peace to all of them and hope they can find it in the New Year. If they have to fly to Canada and back they will have trouble with carryon baggage (as if they don't have enough carryon stuff going on themselves). I wrote about it here Ed:

Since one of the mant mistresses pointed out that Tiger NEVER tipped the waiters/waitresses while they were out to dinner...so now isn't it just fate that Tiger will be paying $300M to his ex...oh how the mighty fall. His new name Cheeta Woods.
