Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren $750 million divorce, with conditions (photos, video)
It has now been officially announced that Tiger Woods, the world's number one golfer and Elin Nordegren, his Swedish wife, have officially divorced.
Their lawyers say that Tiger Woods and his wife have had judgment entered to dissolve the marriage after a slew of sex scandals were revealed to the world over this past year.
The judgment was entered by the lawyers for Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren at the Bay County Circuit Court in Florida.
In a statement, the Woods family has asked for their privacy to be respected. They have said there will be "shared parenting of their two children," reports Fox News
"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," announced the joint statement from Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren.
The settlement stipulates that Tiger Woods cannot let any of his new girlfriends near his children, Sam age 3, and Charlie age 1.
Elin Nordegren, for her part, gets $750 million - the largest celebrity payout divorce settlement ever - but she can never speak publicly about Tiger Woods affairs, reports the Miami Herald
Tiger Woods has been a major golf champion 14 times over but many sponsors dropped him after several mistresses came forward and admitted they had had an affair with him.
Tiger Woods lost around $35 million in sponsorship.
The world was not sure what would become of the marriage of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren and whether they would make up.
Today that decision was announced, however.
Tiger Woods has a connection to the San Francisco Bay Area because he graduated from Stanford University here.

He behaved like a pig. She is going to go her own way and have lots of money. She deserves it. His reputation will stay the same. End of story. We were avid Tiger watchers and now we do not care what he does.
I hate it for the kids' sake, but divorce was probably the only real option for Elin and Tiger. If I were Elin, I would not want to share a bed with Tiger after all of his indiscretions. All the cheating just indicated that Tiger really did not WANT Elin. I wish the whole family peace, normalcy, and happiness.

That's crazy!!! Does it really take 750 million dollars to take care of Tiger's ex wife and his kids? Yes he was wrong however 750 million for cheating! Man I would have fault that divorce till eternity!! However, Tiger was wrong to sleep with all those women while married! This was the biggest mistake of his life!! It cost him 750 million!!!
I am recently experiencing the same as Elin has. I have three children and have discovered that my husband is unfaithful. I am going through hell. I feel stupid, how did I not know. I am happy that she gets to be a mother to her children without concern for money. That is where my story is different. Less than one year ago, I gave up everything to support my husband. He is a morning show host in radio. We sold our home, had an estate sale, and moved into a low income area. I went from being a stay at home mom to working two jobs. My children gave up their toys, friends, and a safe neighborhood with lots of supports. We have nothing and no one now...only to discover that when he said give up everything so that we can be a family..it was a lie. We are to the point that we were looking into bankruptcy. The worst part is that all of this has handicapped me in to being under his control. I am not making enough to even move into my own apartment with the kids. He is using money to control us to live under the same roof. I may have a chase to support my kids with a teacher's job,but due to being out of state- Iam being advised of the possible custody problems. I just want to provide my children the stable home and security that they deserve. I am happy for you and your children, Elin. I wish you the best- I wish that you could share with me the hope of a better future.
