The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced they’re issuing a voluntary recall of nearly 45 thousand baby pacifiers under the brand name Karino. The pacifiers are distributor in the U.S. by Antonio Flores Company located in San Ysidro, California.
The Safety Commission says the pacifier fail to meet federal safety standards. The nipple can separate from the base easily and its handle is too long. The pacifier could pose a choking and aspiration hazard to young children.
CPSC says no serious incidents or injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction.
