Oscars 2009 red carpet: Miley Cyrus

AP Photo/Amy Sancetta

Miley Cyrus is one of the first big stars to arrive on the red carpet in this explosive Zuhair Murad gown that weighs ten times as more than her. The cinched waist leading down to the encrusted petals are magnificent - in a Quinceanera kind of way. But I do appreciate the boldness of the dress - BUT - don't think I haven't forgotten about the whole Asian caricature incident. Yes, it is that serious. I am simply judging the dress on her.

While being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, he asked her who she was "celebrity stalking" tonight. She said Angelina Jolie saying that she wouldn't mind being adopted by her. Okay Miley -  just show the picture of you pulling your eyes back doing that degrading Asian gesture and I am SURE Angelina would love to adopt you considering she has two adopted Asian kids.

Again, it is that serious. I'll let it go when she releases a formal apology.

This just in: Apparently, I didn't know about the apology she made to the Asian community. Too bad we threw it back in her face. Being the good guy I am, I will take the apology - but she is on a six-month probation period with me.

She has already apolized twice. If you have complaint you should step up with a solution. Write the apoligy you would like to see since apparently not apology she would write would satisfy you, and send it to her. You two can then work it out, just don't mess up her dreams and career in the process. That would be even mistake, than she may have made.

I wish people would leave the girl alone for just silly games she likes. She means no offense to anyone. everyone always wants to trash the young girls who are just trying to have fun with life, and I swear it is jealousy half the time...

Nice. More Asians need to be heard on this issue. Sick of the ignorant (Fox news *cough*) rantings from non-minorities. Funny how nobody asks for our opinion.

Oh, and nice dress btw. Like a gold ring in a pig's snout. And don't feel sorry for major media icons walking the red carpet (even if they happen to be privileged 16 year old girls). Trust me, they don't feel sorry for you.

She looks stunning, and I think you should worry about the fact that our country is in turmoil right now rather than the fact that a kid was politically incorrect in a Facebook photo. Just a thought.

She is very beautiful but unfortunatly shes gonna be very critizied with what shes wearing. People are critzing her alot, when shes just a girl tring to have fun. They should lay off.

It's unbelievable how people can actually dispute that A MAJOR MEDIA ICON was wrong in her slant eyed photos. Dino-Ray, you had some real guts for commenting against a pervasively racist attitude, even if that attitude is the norm among whites.

She apologized 1 and 1/2 times now for this silly photo. And if the apology may appear not quite sincere enough for those who are holier-than-thou, perhaps its because its the nature of the whole affair. Come on now, its over with people, but if you want to hold this against her for ever go ahead. She must be used to being bashed and sniped at now for her "G-rated" scandals, and I am sure there will be more to come. At least glad you aren't going the whole Perez Hilton route where whenever he mentions her (for months now), he starts out with "the sl*tty Miley Cyrus". Totally unprofessional, but totally expected from someone of that calibre.
