There has been a small uproar over Michelle Obama showing her arms in the many sleeveless dresses she wears. It's ridiculous to me and feels a little like I'm living in one of the countries where women aren't allowed to reveal their arms in public. Luckily in the U.S. we have the right to bare arms, (and more, considering how much we've seen of celebrities like Brittany Spears and Sharon Stone.)

How does she do it? Michelle works out three times a week with a trainer. Remember, you will not get well-toned arms with excess body fat. Layers of body fat hide the muscle underneath. Duh! Cardio and a balanced diet are the fastest way to lose weight. So work cardio in along with weight training.

If you are one of those people who feel stuck or disadvantaged by a busy life and a lot on your plate, it may be more difficult to fit a workout in, but not impossible. Consider that Mrs. Obama worked out before moving to the White House and before her husband's campaign for the presidency. She held a full-time job and had two kids and a husband who worked away from home. Make yourself and your health a priority and be creative about finding time to exercise. Make behavioral changes as if your life depends on it - because, in some ways, it does.
