At 6:20 EST, Reuters reported that sales on Cyber Monday have hit a new high. With Amazon.com has seen record sales of the Kindle this month (spoiler alert: this one is NOT a recommended gift for bakers because most modern cookbooks are not available in Kindle format), shares have hit an all-time high today. Another main beneficiary of Cyber Monday was Wal Mart.
Web traffic reporter ComScore noted $900 million in online spending today versus $595 in online spending on Black Friday.
If you're still looking for the perfect gift for the cook in your household, why not consider eBay? Online marketplace is celebrating "12 days of deals" until December 8. A new deal will be announced daily on eBay's site. Today's deals include a Belkin Notebook surge protector for $5 (75% off) and a Rockband Wireless guitar for Xbox 360 for $26.99 (55% off).
You can sign up at eBay.com to receive email announcements about the 12 Days of Deals, and you can also subscribe to this Examiner.com feed to receive similar blog posts and save on your holiday gifts.

As far as ebay and deals go, you can possibly use a seller's inability to spell to your advantage to get some good deals. Sites like ebuyersedge.com (typojoe.com, etc) will search ebay for common misspellings of keywords you enter.
Most interested buyers will never see these misspelled listings, reducing the competition and most likely ending price.
Ebuyersedge also gives you the option of saving your favorite searches, then sending you an email when an item is listed matching one your saved searches, giving you a jump on other potential buyers.
This works best with 'Buy It Now's, but is also effective with auctions.
That's true, Thomas -- thanks for the suggestion!
