Hollywood made a move about Ken Carter called Coach Carter. Carter was played by Samuel L. Jackson. The movie was about Carter triumphing over the challenges as a basketball coach at Richmond High School.
When asked about his reaction to the gang rape, he told CNN that he could see it coming when he coached at the school 10 years ago.
"Someone (at the school) was asleep at the wheel," he said.
In the CNN interview (below), Carter spoke by telephone to Richmond High School Senior Class President Gina Saechad. He promised Saechad he would return to the school to help.

Wow, I don't really give a crap if a legendary coach comes back. What the hell is he going to do about the rapists? nothing. no one can take back what happened. I hope to God the victim sues the school and each of the security guards for every single penny they have.
you know this happened on a saturday?
can the victim sue the district are you serious?
Enrique,
Q. you know this happened on a Saturday?
A. It happened during a school function, the school is liable. The school had teachers and security hanging out inside of the dance when they also should have been patrolling the grounds.
Q. can the victim sue the district are you serious?
A. Yes, she can sue the school and the district. The money will most likely come out of one fund.
I hope you are not that dense, it is almost like you are defending the rapist's.
