Calorie and exercise tracker app for iphone


This app is as addicting as other iphone apps
Here’s one more great reason to spend time with your iphone! The free Livestrong.com Calorie Tracker is much more than a calorie counter. Beyond calories, it tracks fats, carbohydrates, protein intake and calories burned each day.
 
Enter your weight, height, how much you want to lose per week, and the amount and level of exercise you get. The tracker calculates your daily caloric need to achieve your goal. As you enter each meal and snack, it keeps track of the percent and total calories you’ve consumed for the day.
 
If you just want to count calories this is one of the most robust calorie databases around. Look up calories when you are out or at other times when nutritional information is not available. Or use it as a food and exercise journal to track calories taken in and calories expended.
 
If you like to track your progress, this app is fantastic. It takes the guesswork out of calorie counting. You can also sync it up with the online version at livestrong.com.
 
So far, it doesn’t give totals for macronutrients (proteins, carbs and fats) but updates are coming so check back if that’s what you’re looking for.
 
The best part about using this application is that at several points throughout the day - as you enter food consumed - you are reminded of your goal and where you are in relation to it. That allows you to make the best food choices at your next meal. This tool is a great way to stay focused and keep your eye on the prize of reaching your ideal weight.
