Tropical storm Danny affects second round of FedEx Cup Playoffs
The morning groupings have finished their second round of play today at the 2009 Barclays golf tournament, and rainy weather conditions have made scoring difficult. First round co-leader Sergio Garcia plummeted down the leaderboard with a +5 (76) that moved him all the way down into a tie for 17th.

The lowest rounds of the morning groupings currently belong to Charles Howell III and Bill Haas, who are both sitting at -1 for the day with a few holes to play. Howell's round today brings him back down to +4 for the tournament after an unsteady +5 on Thursday. Haas, however, is in the thick of things, sitting even for the Barclays.
Charlie Hoffman is looking to establish the clubhouse lead at -4. He is currently sitting at +1 through 16 holes. Ian Poulter is right behind at -3 overall through 17 holes.
The afternoon groupings are just starting their rounds. Tournament co-leader Paul Goydos is even through two holes. There are currently four other players sitting at -5 or better who have yet to hit a ball in today's conditions. Steve Marino, the other co-leader at -6, is set to tee off at 11:00a.m. pacific time.
Course conditions at Liberty National Golf Course have changed overnight, as tropical storm Danny begins to make its way in to the region. The forecast is for the course only going to get wetter, as Danny is expected to move in full-force on Saturday. Anyone who made the most of favorable scoring conditions on Thursday is now in the driver's seat, as everyone else is trying to make up shots in miserable conditions.
One player looking to make up ground is Tiger Woods, who shot a -1 on Thursday, and is set to tee off at 11:11a.m. pacific time. Other notable scores from the morning include Padraig Harrington, who finished +4 for the day, even over all; Justin Rose, +1 (+3); Mike Weir, E (E); Jeff Overton, E (+1); Matt Kuchar, +2 (-1); and Jim Furyk, +2 (E).
Morning conditions simply clobbered a few golfers, and three golfers finished the day double-digits over par. U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover shot a +10 on the rain-soaked course, and that wasn't the worst of it. Joining him in the 80s were Ben Curtis (+13) and Greg Chalmers (+11).
