Every Friday night at Bench and Bar in Oakland is Latin Explosion, the hottest Latin party in Northern California. With sexy gogo dancers, amazing drinks, great live performances, and a comfortable, safe space for dancing and socializing, there is no wonder why the Latin community in Northern California venture to Oakland for a party.
Bench and Bar packs all the amenities of a great club. The main bar is huge; five bartenders are ready to mix up your favorite drinks. There is a separate smaller bar area with laptops for those that want to check their email or find the number for a local cab company. Near the entrance is a nice open-air lounge area. If you don’t feel like dancing, there are 10 television screens through out the main floor. Because the club is on the 3rd level, there is also an elevator to help those who are mobility impaired and to help all the party goers get down to the street level after a long night of dancing and drinking.
Because Bench and Bar is a Latin club, don’t assume that Latin music is all that is played. DJ Jorge Eclipse did a great job of mixing up the genres of music. Besides Latin hits, artists such as Kelly Rowland, Lady Gaga, Kat Deluna, Beyonce, Ne-yo, and LMFAO added to that special hip-hop flair.
On Friday, Sept. 18th, there were three special performances. Mr. Gay Vaquero Alex Rodriguez along with drag performers Miss Hispanidad Noemi and Nuestra Belleza Gay Mexico Dayanara Lopez left the crowd waiting more.
