Wunderland at Mezzanine combined house music with aerial artists and live performances to create a truly exciting clubbing experience. When you entered Mezzanine on Saturday, Sept. 5, you were hit with pulse beating housing music by DJ’s Hawthorne and Eddie Elias. The main stage hosted the flagging talents of the San Francisco Flaggers. Between the Wunderlands dancers and all the attractive half naked men, eye candy was not lacking at Wunderland.
There were two beautiful aerial performances by the Benn Mendoza Entertainment Company. Both performances kept the clubbers in awe. Between the two aerial performances, Bay Area artists Xavier Toscano rocked the house with a live performance that found him hopping off stage and serenading the club-goers.
Wunderland seemed to attract a unique following; most of the men in attendance seemed to be older-professionals between their late 20’s to 40’s and from every walk of life. Local celebrities BeBe Sweetbriar and Emperor Poole were in the house enjoying the party.
Mezzanie is a beautiful venue with a number of bars, 3 bars were open this night, over 2 levels. The 2nd level is very comfortable lounging spaces with couches and tables, great for socializing or resting your weary feet from dancing. Credit cards are accepted but a purchase minimum of $20.00 must be made and a 20% gratuity is added to credit card transactions.
