The Café Nightclub has been under construction for months. Before the venue was closed, Club Papi Productions hosted its weekly Thursday night Pan Dulce event for the Latino’s of the Bay Area. Since the construction, Pan Dulce was cancelled and was not moved to another venue.
During SF Pride weekend (June 26-28), The Café was reopened for special events; Club Papi’s Pan Dulce & Gus Presents’ Boy Bar. Because The Café was not complete in its construction, the events were forced to limit the number of party goers allowed inside the venue. Though the line for Pan Dulce reached the Chevon gas station at the corner of Market Street and Castro Street, party goers remained patient, awaiting their turn to view the newly constructed, yet unfinished Café Nightclub.
Pan Dulce that night was amazing. The Papi Dancers put on a great show and all those in attendance, mostly Latino, danced the night the away as Pan Dulce returned to The Café.
After SF Pride weekend, The Café was closed to complete construction. Because of building authorization issues, permits were delayed and the original return of Pan Dulce, July 22nd, was cancelled and rescheduled for August 6th.
Club Papi Productions is planning a huge night for the return of Pan Dulce to The Café. This Pan Dulce will function as the Official CD Release Party for Paulina Rubio. There will be CD’s and posters given away all night long. For the $5 cover, a great venue, free CD’s and posters by featuring Paulina Rubio, the Papi Dancers, the Club Papi VIP Card, and drink specials. Plan to see you there.
