Club Eight debuted its new party FURR Saturday, February 6th run by promoter Ken Slater of Bear Party Magazine. The party featured the DJ styling of Byron Bonsall and James Torres and the party was truly one not to miss.
Like any other party in San Francisco, the festivities do not get underway until 11pm. As soon as 11pm rolled around, the house became packed with bears and cubs of all shapes and sizes who paid the $10.00 cover to come in and party and have a great time.
Generally speaking, I’ve been invited to a couple of bear parties and they usually begin around 6pm, Tea dance hour. For the party to begin at 9pm and be packed by 11pm was different for me. These bears know how to party!!!!!
The biggest difference from FURR in comparison to other bear parties I have been invited too, there was no food. Most bear parties usually have some type of food spread. At Bearacudda it’s a mixture of healthy and junk food at B&B Bears its usually catering by the promoter Jason Panamaroff. The lack of food was different but did not take away from the party.
