Looks like someone just became a Debbie Does Dallas fan
As someone who once reviewed porn films for a living, I can tell you that many of the popular complaints expressed by antiporn women are valid ones. They also feel self-conscious when they glimpse abnormally thin bodies with copious plastic surgery, worrying that they don’t measure up to this “sexual ideal.” Many XXX flicks are drenched with hokey dialogue, sex that looks a lot more gratifying for the male participant than the female and scenarios that inspire laughter more than arousal. But there are a growing number of women that have discovered erotic films can have a profound and favorable effect on their lady parts, and statistics show it’s a larger number than previously believed.
A 2007 Nielsen/NetRatings study showed that one in three visitors to adult websites were female. And in a particularly intriguing Northwestern University study, a genital feedback device was used on male and female participants to assess arousal during porn films. The finding? When the researchers presented gay, lesbian, and straight porn to heterosexual and homosexual men and women, they found that while the males responded more intensely to porn that mirrored their particular gender orientation, females tended to enjoy it all.
So why, according to an Internet Filter Review survey, do 70% of women who view porn keep it a secret? For decades many women have been told that they shouldn’t enjoy porn, that it’s perverted and degrading. If a fellow parent discovered that the PTA president of an elementary school had a stash of hardcore bondage DVDs under her bed, chances are the immediate response wouldn’t be, “Why, Alice, what a perfectly normal and healthy expression of your sexuality. Don’t forget about the bake sale Friday!” Something tells me Alice’s daughter would have a few less playdates.
While porn can contain many unfavorable elements that continue to contribute to its stigma, the good stuff can send a tingly lightning bolt from our brains to our genitals. Porn can help us explore a variety of fantasies, can be a fun tool to add to a couple’s sexual repertoire, and can help satisfy normal animalistic urges and feelings of curiosity. Sure, a female’s search for the perfect porn will involve a lot of cheesy 70s music, horny pizza guys, and bad camera angles, but once you stumble upon the DVD that pushes all the right buttons, there’s no turning back.

It's true. I used to feel like I couldn't compare to all the hot exotic porno chicks and I just felt bad about myself. But then I saw a rated X movie from a production company owned by women with normal looking women and amazing sex scenes and I became a fan. But I'd still never tell my friends about my porn habit. : )
A woman with a taste for porn is less likely to have the obnoxious sexual hang ups that is saddled with the American public. Theres nothing wrong with loving sex in non-dangerous ways. Just ask David Carradine-- wait, bad example.
Nice, Adam. : )
I was happy to see an article by a girl that's comfortable with porn. There's a lot of god awful porn out there, but more and more companies are starting to market toward women and create videos that have us in mind. Yay for equality!
i /we have a wonderful condo at lake tahoe nevada. it's ideal for great cinamatography for the adult film industry. not just a canvassed room in a whearhouse. yours truly, doug and debbie
i must also state, my spelling is horrific, but my intent is gentel and pure. thanks once again, doug
any woman having even the slightest doubt of thier bodies should just stop right now, feel your ankles to your armpits, and breath deeply knowing you are absolutely awesome in every curve upwards. smile, and exhale, and repete, you are very beautiful to the world, and we desire more of you. doug
