For those you of following the Kercher murder/sex assault case in Perugia, Italy, there is new information. It seems that Amanda Knox, a US citizen, did cartwheels in the police department when she was brought in for questioning. Strange behavior indeed -- but does it mean that she's guilty of participating in the lethal sex game that allegedly took place on the night of October 31st, 2007?
Investigators testified that, after the discovery of Kercher's body, Knox and her former boyfriend, Raffaelo Sollecito, were brought in for questioning. At one point during questioning, Knox sat on Sollecito's lap. Knox also reportedly did cartwheels, as well as the splits in the hallways of the precinct. Sounds a little joyful, eh?
On the morning of November 1st, 2007, Italian investigators found Kercher lying beneath a duvet in her room "soaked in blood." Police have said Kercher's throat was slit with a shard of glass or a pen-knife, but have not yet located the murder weapon. Prosecutors now allege that Kercher was killed during what began as a sex game, with Sollecito holding her by the shoulders from behind while Knox touched her with the point of a knife. A third defendant, Rudy Guede, tried to sexually assault Kercher and then Knox fatally stabbed her in the throat.
Rudy Hermann Guede elected for a 'fast track' trial on 16 October 2008, and on 28 October 2008 was found guilty of conspiracy to murder Meredith Kercher and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Guede's lawyers want to appeal the conviction.

The young woman had nothing to do with the murder. I don't know what is up with either of the men but this young woman is innocent. Wise up silly people lest you or your prized children be railroaded.

I am beyond surprised at how people comment that ..Look at her..she's pretty..couldn't have done it...I think it comes from the mindset that "Oh..she's like one of us..we can do no crime".

Crime is crime people,if it was your sister or daughter in Meredith's place..I'm sure you'd have not taken this 'beauty' or 'angel-likeness' to defend her.The true criminal in this case is the drugs and callousness for sex.watch out people,take your children seriously.
The evidence is there. The odd behavior of Knox is well established, documented and certainly this doesn't help defend her case. She's acted like a nut instead of someone being accused of murder and that's fits some definition of psychotic behavior, certainly capable of criminal acts. And just in case you haven't read your passport inside cover: "...remember when you are in foreign lands you are under the jurisdiction of local customs and laws...." She'll appeal and maybe there's even enough money to go to the Italia Supreme Court...but that won't matter. The three played a mysteriously evil sex thing or torture thing, doped up or just driven mad by Kercher...and they killed her. Feel sorry for the Kercher family; hope like hell the US gov't stays out of Italy justice in the case; and Ms. Knox...kiss your sweet foxy knoxy behind good-bye. Throw away the key. Story's over.
Too bad they only gave her 2 dozen years behind bars. That scares me. She'll be out when she's in her mid-40's...not yet ugly enough (almost) and not yet quite old enough to be harmless and a non-threat to the rest of the population.
That was the only mistake in the trial. Maybe our gov't can appeal for a longer sentence?

On the other hand when someone is not guilty or has nothing to hide, than they tell the truth and stick to it. they dont change their versions every other day and dont throw stones to others. so whether she is guilty or not, she is hiding something. if she is guilty than she must pay, if she is not than she should have been consequently honest all along. The two (she and the bf) did do or know something...that is for sure! there is never smoke without a fire!
How can they say that the Italian court system is backwards if, while in custody, Amanda was allowed to wear her street clothes (instead of a prison uniform), was usually free of handcuffs, and had no purgery risk? Also - this anti-American hooey is absurd, when the ITALIAN boyfriend only got one year less, and Rudy got 30 years (Rudy having lived in Italy since the age of 5).

Doing cartwheels is enough to get you locked up for 20 years, apparently. The prosecutor is a well-known nutcase obsessed with fantasizing about sex crimes that he makes up in his own mind. This girl is guilty of hearing her roommate scream while being murdered. That is bad, but not 20 years in jail bad.

Good thing your not a prosecutor or a position where you actually have to think because there was no evidence there pointing at her. I have never heard of being convicted of acting weird. College student on drugs losses friend.. Hmm lets see now, maybe they should have drug tested her at the station to see what drugs she was using since she just found her roommate MURDERED! No chain of custody on evidence = not reliable. There is no way she would have been convicted on that lack of evidence if the jury hadn't already made up there minds. Leave it to the I-tys to mess something this big up. She may be guilty but she maybe innocent. The really scary thing is that there is a better than not chance that the real murderer has just gotten away with murder and an innocent person will pay the price.

Bull. She either murdered Ms. Kercher or was involved in the murder. Either, in both the USA and in Italy, is a crime. Recall, she and Sollecito and Guede were convicted of "conspiracy to commit murder." It does not matter which of the 3 actually killed Ms. Kercher.
I don't no what went, on but it sad for every one I think the killer is still out there !
thank god a piece of human garbage like amanda is now off the street. she got the sentence she deserved, now we can party like it's 1999....there's joy in mudville now that this skank is locked up.
