There’s nothing like a few blizzardy days in Chicago to make one want to have sex in public. Kidding. I won’t even leave the warmth of the couch without a snuggie and a helmet full of Jack Daniels. If you’re the adventurous type, however, then you may want to point your compass to The Outdoor Lovemap, which is described as the “international guide to places to make love outdoors.”
As the map on the main page shows, the actual number of outdoor love locations is pretty minimal; it looks to be about 100 sites that are listed, but the content is all user-generated and more and more locations are popping up everyday. The first time I typed in Chicago, the closest listing was the Carillon Sculpture at Butler University in Indianapolis which is about 200 miles away. Now there is a bonafide Chicago location: Oz Park in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. What makes this park a perfect place to get your skank on? “Good bushes to hide in” says the description. And “you’ll be greeted by statues of the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and everyone’s favorite: Dorothy & Toto.” When faced with the prospect of canoodling under a 7 foot, 800 pound cast bronze Scarecrow, for me, there’s really no place like home.
But Chicago isn’t Kansas. There must be dozens of prime locations to divide and conquer, right? Let’s assess.
Lake Michigan. Yeah, if you want your kids to be born with tentacles.
The Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier. If you’re not easily distracted by the McDonald’s specials blaring through the speakers, this one seems promising.
Rooftops, decks, patios. All hot, semi-private locales.
Jungle gyms. At night, certain playground equipment provides some protection. Just make sure you’re not in range of the blue light police cameras.
Dressing rooms at Macy’s. Especially during busy shopping times.
Forest preserves. A safe bet – secluded, natural surroundings, certainly softer than a concrete embankment under the freeway and better smelling than restrooms at outdoor concert venues.

I just checked it out and uploaded two locations. Lot's get Chicago on the map! Even Croatia has more locations listed than us!
We encourage folks in Chicagoland to represent properly and upload locations to the Lovemap. We agree with Anna. It may be snowy alot there but we have enough adventurous friends from Chi-Town to know there is a good deal of outdoor lovin' going on!

I've done it on the second floor of the Cultural Center, in the room with the various scultures and sketches of "things that rotate" and "things that go up to go down" and whatever else.
