AP - Antionette Nicole Davis charged
The relationship between a mother and her child is a sacred bond. There is no more fierce creature in the world, whether animal or human, more protective than a mother. How, then, can one such creature blessed with a beautiful child betray that bond by allowing her child to be harmed?
It is this question that begs an answer, along with the whereabouts of five-year old Shaniya Nicole Davis.
Breaking news from CNN states that the mother of Shaniya, Antionette Nicole Davis, has been charged in the disappearance of her daughter. Among the charges filed against her are human trafficking, filing a false police report, and prostitution.
In addition, the man previously charged in the kidnapping of the little girl, Clarence Coe, has been cleared of that charge and released as the identification of the man in the video shown leaving the
property has been positively made. For CNN details on this story, click here.
Did Antionette Davis sell her daughter to human traffickers? If so, why? How could a mother do such a thing to her child?
As the investigation continues, the search is still on for five-year old Shaniya Davis. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of this baby, please, please, contact authorities. If you have fear of your own well-being for reporting what you know, be aware that your call can be anonymous.

The life of a small child is at stake. No child should have to suffer abuse. Do the right thing. Help this little girl. If it happened to Shaniya, it could happen to your child.
Call Fayetteville Police at 910-433-1856 with any leads or information concerning Shaniya’s whereabouts. .jpg)
Surveillance video shows a man carrying a girl identified by police as 5-year old Shaniya Davis in the hallway of a hotel in Sanford, NC about an hour after her reported disappearance.
UPDATE, 11-15-2009: So many of you have left comments asking for more information in order to be of help. Thank you. I've crawled the web in search of any additional information and this is what I can add at this time. The name of the hotel where the surveillance video above was taken has not been released. Sanford, NC is approximately 40 miles northwest of Fayetteville. Sanford sits right at Interstate US 1. US 1 does travel all the way down into Key West Florida (my parents were from Key West), so whoever has her could have traveled north on US 1 or south. No description of any vehicle is available because McNeill (the man in the video) is in custody. It can only be speculated that the child is now in the hands of an unknown person(s) or worse. Everyone reading this article and watching the news should get familiarized with Shaniya's picture. She was last seen (allegedly) wearing a blue T-shirt and pink underwear. She had no shoes. She is 5 years old, Around 3 feet tall, and slender of build. Again, any and all information should be reported to the Fayetteville Police at 910-433-1856. THIS BABY NEEDS TO BE FOUND
'The relationship between a mother and her child is a sacred bond. There is no more fierce creature in the world, whether animal or human, more protective than a mother. How, then, can one such creature blessed with a beautiful child betray that bond by allowing her child to be harmed?'
Close to 400 children are killed by their mothers each year, as much 60% of child abuse is committed by women.
Don't kid yourself.
DP, with approx 4 million babies being born in the US annually, and according to you 400 being killed by their mothers, that still makes it .0001% of mothers that hurt their babies every year. So, mothers are, overwhelmingly fiercely protective of their children. Very few are monsters like this, which is why it leaves the other 99.9999% of mothers, including me so outraged.
"If it happened to Shaniya, it could happen to your child." -- Except that this will never happen to MY children because I'm not a MONSTER like Antoinette Nicole Davis who would sell my child into prostitution!
I am also in NC. No word on where the suspect who had her was found so we would even know the vicinity to look. They aren't providing enough information for the public to actually help...
this witch should be hung , speaking as a mother im outraged, I hope the police find this child and in the precess rescue other children possiably held or sold into prositution, also look into the disaparance of that little girl in fl that came up missing under simular cirumstnces . the fathers girl friend put her to bed and a few hours later she was missing ,florida is very close to north carolina and both women were involved with drugs
i feel real bad for the child. i mean.wow. this is just awful.my mother would never do that.people in this world has gone crazy. MAKE A CHANGE
