BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - January, 2010 - For the past three years there has been an important element missing with this production tasks of Baltimore Fashion Week. Finally the search is over with the inclusion of a Senior Designer Associate. This search was long and hard to find the perfect person to handle the tasks of working with designers to assist them in perfecting their collections for showcasing during the annual fashion event, Baltimore Fashion Week.

This year the designers will have a shoulder to lean on for those complex questions that arise in the creation of that perfect collection, and that shoulder will be none other than Carlous Palmer. Carlous will be working with designers to answer any questions, provide guidance in creating a "rack ready" collection, and work closely with the Executive Producers of fashion week to create a more cohesive designer line-up during the week of August 9, 2010 through August 13, 2010 the days of Baltimore Fashion Week.

This fashion collaboration was initiated during the summer months of 2009. "It was evident that the expertise and knowledge of a "true" designer person was desperately needed for the continued success of this event. I found it very awkward to handle this type of responsibility without the former training of a design/apparel program, so I searched long and hard to first find a person to fit the mold we created, and then second to find a personality that would fit with the entire team and I believe that has been found in Carlous Palmer. He brings to this event his vast amount of knowledge and experience. My friends call me the Baby Miranda of Baltimore when it comes to this production, and he is my Nigel - and I knew I had to have him as part of our production team to provide that missing link that I felt in respect to the designers was missing", stated Sharan Nixon, Founder/CEO of Butterfly Productions, LLC.

Carlous Palmer is a creative force and has the knowledge of a well seasoned designer. Carlous has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. Creating collections and production fashion shows from New York to Miami, Carlous has that hidden, now exposed talent that all the designers will now experience, as well as the guests of Baltimore Fashion Week.

Carlous will also be showcasing his collection UNIVERSALMULTICULTURAL during a scheduled runway event of Baltimore Fashion Week, this will be the first collection created in Baltimore by Carlous Palmer in over 10 years. You may have seen some of his work on his cable show, STYLE TOUR dedicated to helping Artist promote their work. Carlous Palmer has created collections in Palm Beach and New York and has also sold his collection in NORDSTROM, Patricia Field Caron Emporium, The Bead Experience, and many other retailers. We proudly welcome his comeback to Baltimore's fashion landscape

"Join us as we welcome Carlous Palmer to this event with open arms," stated Nixon.
