'Obama is not a liar... just a Prevaricator'

South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson got in a lot of hot water because he had the guts to call our President a liar during the State of the Union address when he said Federal dollars would not be spent on illegal aliens’ health care… shame on that man for speaking his mind. Possibly ‘liar’ is too strong a word, so to make sure I won’t get in trouble for speaking my mind I think I will call President Barrack Obama what I really think he is and that’s a Prevaricator. That word has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Not nearly as harsh as Rep. Wilson’s word is it

Our president is a Professional Prevaricator, which means he gets paid for his Prevaricating which makes him even more dangerous Prevaricator than your average, run-of-the-mill, ordinary, man-on-the-street prevaricator who does it for nothing and little or no gain.

Before we go any further I’m thinking we should find out what a Prevaricator is so we’ll all be on the same page as we write and/or read this bit of profound prose. Webster’s definition for Prevaricator is 1) One who straddles; one who evades or stays away from the truth. Wouldn’t you agree that President Obama is a genius at straddling, evading and/or staying away from the truth? I can’t speak to what he Prevaricated on prior to becoming a United States Senator and then a few short months later taking the office of President of these United States, but I can speak to what he has Prevaricated on during his campaign for office of President, and what he has Prevaricated on since he took office.

During his campaign for President he was very eloquent in promising “Change we can live with” and “Hope” and how, if he were elected President his administration would be the most transparent of any administration in the history of the White House. Help me out here if you will... at what point does ‘Promising’ become ‘Prevaricating?’ Is it ‘Prevaricating’ if you make a promise with absolutely no intention on keeping that promise? Or does the ‘Prevaricating’ become a reality once the person has broken his promise? I get confused so please excuse me.

There are thousands of video clips containing the thousands of promises Mr. Obama made to the American people to get them to vote for him so I really need not provide links to them to prove what I’m saying. You’ve all seen them and they are the reason you voted him into office. However, if you are not adept at locating web sites that substantiate my claim of a plethora of Presidential Prevarication please let me hear from you and I will provide you with a tidy number from which you may glean all the substantiation you desire.

I will try to list those promises I can remember that made an impact on me and, believe it or not, actually made me hope and surmise, however so slightly, that he might be a man who meant what he said.  I can remember telling some of my overly-skeptical friends that we should give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a chance to prove himself before we start hammering him. Unfortunately, I think we have reached that point.

As I mention some of the salient promises below you might want to exercise your mind to determine whether he has actually accomplished what he promised or whether he has Prevaricated. I’m sure the answer is so obvious you can say “Accomplished” or “Prevaricated” immediately, and that would save me a lot of time and ink writing the answer out.
Let’s look at:
• Transparency of Government (No more Congressional committee meetings behind closed doors or private closed meetings with ‘Special Interest’ lobbyists)
• No more ‘Earmarks’ in legislation for Congressmen or Senators, frequently referred to as ‘Pork Spending.’ The President himself will go through the bills and those Congressmen or Senators who took non-budget item monies will have their names made public by the White House.
• No under the table deals with Congressmen or Senators to sweeten the pot for them in exchange for important votes.
• No Federal (American’s tax) dollars will be spent on abortions of any kind.
• Reaching across the aisle to actually have legislation structured so as to be truly bi-partisan in nature and not just giving lip service to the minority.
• No person making less than $250,000 will pay a single penny more for any kind of taxes. (Does that include fines for not buying health insurance or a raise in taxes on fuel or carbon emitting usage?)
• We will fund Research and Development for clean coal technology so we can more effectively utilize the enormous supply of fossil fuels in the United States.
• Lobbyists would soon disappear in from Capitol Building hallways because of them trying to buy the votes of Congressmen and Senators by allowing them to use private airplanes; or holiday junkets overseas paid by ‘Special Interests’.
• A comprehensive stimulus package will create or save 5 million jobs and unemployment will not rise above 8%.
• The President will surround himself with qualified experts on every area of concern facing the country, i.e., Jobs; Economy; Social Security; Senior Citizen concerns, etc., etc., etc..
• A comprehensive immigration policy will be studied and put into place, including closing our southern borders to prevent continued illegal entry.
• Provide immediate $500 relief to single individuals and $1,000 to married couples from stimulus package.
• Develop safe nuclear technology
• Will reduce health insurance premiums by $2,500 for typical families
• Simplify Tax System
• Give Small Business a health care tax credit
• Eliminate Income Taxes for seniors making less than $50,000
• ETC., ETC., ETC., and so on, and so on, etc., etc., etc.

Okay folks, can you see where our chief Prevaricator has Prevaricated quite profusely throughout the last year. Unfortunately, it is not possible, nor politically palatable for Mr. Obama to continue to blame the former administration for his own shortcomings and letting the American people down as he surely has.

It is obvious that indeed, Mr. Obama was not qualified for doing anything other than Prevaricating, at which he is a master. Let us hope our country will be able to sustain itself for the next three torturous, Prevaricating years.
