Today's Seminole County Headline Examiner story is one that touches the heart. This story will announce the first video interview and talk to the public as a plea for help from Sadie Holmes.

On Wednesday August 11, 2010 an online live streaming video message will be released by Sadie Holmes of Altamonte Springs. This exclusive  video will live stream to millions of viewers. We will publish the news conference video here on Seminole County Headline Examiner.

You may have heard bits and pieces and reports over the past many months about the foreclosure of this home, but in this video Sadie will share her heart like never before. You really need to hear from Sadie herself.

If you don't recognize the name, you may remember Sadie Holmes, of Altamonte Springs, FL when she made the national news in February 2006. This was when ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition TV show built her a new 5000 square foot home. Sadie is asking people all over America to help her carry on the  good deeds to help people in her community. Sadie is asking everyone to watch her video and share it with everyone you know.

Sadie Holmes would sit down with you and tell you about the abundance of blessings she has received from God. After sitting with Sadie for several hours this morning, I could see that there is something deep within her soul that keeps her getting up every day to fight the good fight to keep feeding the hungry and helping those who are in need.

It was the greatest blessing of all, four years ago when Sadie was given a beautiful brand new 5000 square foot home from the Extreme Makeover television program. Sadie Holmes knows that this was indeed a blessing of God considering she was one of thousands to who applied.  Sadie's dream came true when she first saw the home that was hiding behind the Extreme Makeover  bus.  Sadie would now be able  to continue  helping the citizens of her community and have a beautiful home where she could raise her children.

Sadie has used her own personal life experiences to give back to help others who are suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. For Sadie's complete life story and her own personal from addition to victory and recovery. Please refer to the article written by Bruce Larson. Link provided below.

Sadie Holmes now faces a new set of challenges for her 501c3 organization, and her family. The economy has taken a toll on everyone including non-profit charitable organizations. Sadie Holmes Help Services, Inc. did not escape the crush of the economy. Prior to 2006 Sadie ran her help services organization without any government funding or grants.

Sadie desperately needed to have her business vehicles moved and her thrift store items moved to a commercial location to comply with city code enforcement. She was fighting city code enforcement liens among other financial issues. She was blessed to have found secured parking, storage and a location for her thrift store directly across the street from her new Extreme Makeover home, but that blessing did not come without a cost.

Sadie also needed to have another property she owns ready to house 10 people who were in need of a place to live. These were people coming from recovery homes and hospitals. With all the expenses of housing the homeless, the thrift store, the slumping economy and property taxes, Sadie found herself in need of resources. Thrift store sales went down due to the economy and Sadie's expenses increased.

Sadie Holmes Help Services relies on donations from the corporate and private communities. According to the article written by Bruce Larson The center helps over 300 needy families and individuals every month and this number increases as families are without jobs. Since that article was published the numbers may have changed. Sadie is determined to keep helping others and sharing the love of God with them.

If you would like to help Sadie we are looking for 100 people to donate $50.00 to the organization.

Holmes is operating her food bank to help feed families, she was running a homeless shelter, and currently operates her thrift shop. Acts of Random Kindness located at 1301 East State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs.

The organization can be contacted at 407-331-9579. Financial Donations may be mailed to: Sadie Holmes Help Service, Inc. 1280 Amanda Street Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701.

For press inquiries please contact the office and they will put you in touch with Sadie's Press spokesperson.
