An armed Columbus, OH home invader was fatally shot in self defense by one of his victims.
Police say that several people were inside a home on Northglen Drive when an armed home invader and at least one accomplice rushed in through the door and threatened the lives of those present. One of the victims reportedly grabbed his self defense handgun and shot one of the armed robbers in self defense. Police arrived to find one home invader lying dead on the living room floor, and another suspect hiding in a bathroom. The surviving suspect was apprehended, and police say that the citizen who fired in self defense will not face charges.
Home invasions constitute a deadly threat to the occupants. The criminals who commit such crimes often murder, shoot, stab, torture, kidnap, and permanently injure and disfigure their victims. The result is that the lives of law abiding, innocent people can be ended or ruined in an instant. The good news is that gun owners like this citizen can, and do, stop such criminals every day. Society as a whole benefits as well, as a criminal who is stopped by an armed citizen today will be unable to victimize another person tomorrow.

Eric-- This is outrageous: "Police arrived to find one home invader lying dead on the living room floor, and another suspect hiding in a bathroom. The surviving suspect was apprehended..." Just think of all the lost revenue for the defense lawyers now that the dead perp is lost to the system forever. At least we've got one more to make some money from. I've GOT to think of some more gun laws to put a stop this gun violence against these valuable criminals.
Crimanals don't care about guns laws, and more will not stop them. In this case the surviving home invader should be punished to the fullist extent of the law period. Good thing there was a armed home owner that could defend him self and the occupants.
