Woodstock in Second Life®
This is the 40th anniversary of the third day of Woodstock and REVA Blue Nile has the lineup waiting for you.
The last two days have been great. Even through a griefing episode last night, the crowd wasn't deterred. There are several other small events billing themselves as Woodstock events, but Woodstock 40, organized by Aristippus Larsson, is the best re-creation of the famous event. The site in Bethel, New York, has been faithfully reproduced, including rain, and avatar actors represent the musicians as the original music plays on the stream. Where available, what you hear are the actual recordings made at Woodstock. The quality of the stream, the organization of the event, and the venue all contribute to the superb experience.
Today's schedule includes: Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Country Joe & the Fish, Ten Years After, and The Band. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and continue today until 5 p.m.
Proceeds from the event are being donated the real world homeless shelter, Bread and Jams, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
