Yesterday, David Arquette took to Twitter to pronounce his love for Michigan and post a few patriotic pictures. The first features the actor holding a box of fireworks labeled “Mega Shot TNT,” the second shows him at the grill, and the third is a shot of his grinning face with a sparkler in the background. Sadly, wife Courteney Cox is MIA…

You can, however, see a fan-snapped picture of the couple dining out while on break from filming here.

For those of you located in or around the Michigan area, b4thetrailer has told Scream Franchise Examiner (via Twitter) that the production crew will reportedly return to Northville tomorrow, possibly to film scenes at a local bookstore. (Action was also reported at the site on July 1st.) This would seem to make sense, as Neve Campbell’s character is said to be an author in the film.  (Update: The Detroit Free Press has confirmed that shooting will take place at the New Chapter Bookstore & Bistro and will feature Campbell and Cox.)

Though things have been quiet on-set during the holiday weekend, fans and journalists are anxiously awaiting a response to zap2it’s report that writer Kevin Williamson is no longer involved in the project and that the script is now in the hands of Scream 3 scribe Ehren Kruger. Carina MacKenzie, who published the initial report on July 1st, was told by a representative for the film that they would have an official comment as soon as possible. As of now, there has been no word from Dimension Films...

On Saturday, Scream Franchise Examiner received confirmation from an acquaintance of voice actor Roger Jackson’s that he is indeed working on the film, and that he has reported, “The content of Scream 4 is under tight security…”  The news was first posted on the blog Wednesday's Korner one week ago.
