Ikea shelves and box housing my scrap goodies.
Whether you have an armoire or room for your scrappy space, keep it organized and make the best of your scrapping time. My organization experience has been in phases. It has changed due to my goodies out growing the space and finally frustration as I found myself spending more time searching for items than scrapping. The key is to find your scrapping methods and organize goodies for a quick find.

Cardstock by color in Cropper Hopper Paper Holders on its side.
The most popular approach is to categorize by color. I suggest using the rainbow key for cardstock (Roy G. Biv- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The ‘i’ is for indigo which can fit with the blues and violets) and keep ‘off’ or like colors with the coordinating family. For patterned papers, I would suggest keeping by manufacturer, design, or theme (ie: flowers, shapes, stripes, baby, family, etc...). Thereafter, keep similar elements together, ie: chipboard, stickers, rubons, metals.

Scraps Storage- a great solution for many storage needs.
Now, how to store your scrapbook goodies. Cropper Hopper is one of the leading manufacturers in this department with cool and practical storage. I highly recommend the vertical Paper Holder and Scraps Storage. With just these two items, you get your papers, kits, stickers, rubons, pages in progress, and scraps organized. Do not let the name fool you. The Scraps Storage eliminates the purchases of the Sticker Envelope, Sticker Pockets, Pages in Progress and other holders. You can not go wrong; the Scraps Storage comes in a three pack with tabbed dividers on the top and each storage has two outer pockets and a gusseted center for expansion.
In addition, the vertical Paper Holder is ideal as it is a space saver and reduces damage to papers. Rather than grabbing a sheet beneath a huge pile, you can simply slide the sheet out from its place and return it just as easily. (See Paper Holder image above.)

Craft Mates cases for metals.
For smaller items, I suggest the Photo Protectors and embellishment boxes then keeping like items in a box or storage preference. Boxes, metal or plastic containers, or clear drawers are ideal for a quick grab and viewing of the goodies on hand. My favorite are the Craft Mates cases which conveniently holds pill-box like containers with individual slots. A key feature is the locking device; there is no dirty spill if the container is dropped. Another favorite is that you can grab the whole case or just individual containers for quick and light packing for a crop. Again, these items are kept by color as pictured.

Another resource of scrapbook storage are items already on hand. Look around for things not in use and devise a way to implement it for your scrapbook storage. There is no need to run out and get new storage; save that money for more scrappy goodies to add to your new organized space!
Have fun with everything!
