This two-day event took place Friday and Saturday, January 22 and 23, at the Anaheim Convention Center. Hundreds of exhibitors and vendors covered thousands of square feet of space, which was then inhabited by thousands of eager crafters – seamstresses, scrapbookers, knitters, artists, doll makers and the like.

Major companies such as EK Success, Michaels, Cricut, Making Memories and Advantus Corp were on hand to demonstrate the latest and greatest. Cricut introduced Cricut Cake, their latest personal electronic cutter. Making Memories showed off a cool pink Vespa along with their latest and pinkest cordless digital design cutter, the SLICE Think Pink.

Visitors kept busy browsing, buying and creating make-and-take projects. Local scrapbook stores showcased hundreds of products and artists, and many hosted their own make-and-takes, like Ever After Scrapbooks of Vista. Owner Camille Akins chartered a bus with over 50 lucky passengers/scrapbooking fanatics who ventured from Vista to Anaheim on Friday for the first day of the SuperShow. The bus tour, touted as the SuperShow Treasure Tour, featured food, fun and frolic as guests were the first to be ushered in to the day’s show, used their treasure maps to hunt down super prizes, and generally created an overall presence of glee at the event.

The SuperShow was also the venue for the second record-breaking attempt for the world’s largest crop. Hundreds of scrapbookers gathered to crop the day away and raise funds for the Kids In Need Foundation. Celebrity guests and vendors were on hand demonstrating intriguing products and services as well as signing autographs and giving away prizes.

There were hundreds of smiles on the faces of show goers at this Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) event open to the public. The event occurs just prior to the craft industry’s semi-annual convention and trade show at the same locale.
