At the Make-n-Take Stations
Now, I must preface this with the fact that this is not my first trip to Scrap-a-Thon in Cedarburg, WI. It has to have been my 4th or 5th, however, each and every trip is great and this event never ceases to amaze me. The most recent one was this past weekend, on Saturday, May 16th.
Colleen and the team at Legacy Scrapbooks in Cedarburg, WI, just outside of Milwaukee, host this event two times per year. 16 hours of scrapbooking, make-n-takes, and just creating with friends. There are challenges, prizes, raffles, deals, and so much more. 100 women and all of their supplies makes for some absolutely wonderful scrapbook pages, as well as mini-albums, cards, and other outstanding creations.

While at the event, I was lucky enough to get to host three rounds of make-n-takes, as well as talk with a lot of the ladies. Several of them have been going longer than I have and come back each and every time. It is more about the joy of being with friends and supporting their local store than anything else. While most would like to go home after 16 hours with a lot completed, they also know that the bonds of friendship are just as important. This is a loud and very social event. That is part of the reason it is definitely one of my favorites all year long!
If you are at all interested in checking out the event, you can mark your calendars now for October 17th. Be sure, however, to call now to get your space. There is always a waiting list!
