Scrapbooks, Etc. magazine has a call out for submissions for a new column. The column will be called “Etc.” and it’s all about using your scrapbook supplies for home décor and gift ideas, etc. Essentially, they want you to submit projects that are anything other than scrapbook pages.
As Editor Michelle Rubin said, “This is about getting your supplies off the page and using them in new ways.”
The Etc. column will be very similar to the ideas that were featured in the "Deck the Walls" column in the April 2006 issue. It showcased wall art, memo boards, keepsake boxes, etc.
However, this new column will take that concept and expound upon it by including gift ideas, as well as home décor projects. They are looking for your most creative and unique ideas that use scrapbooking supplies in new ways.
Submitting your projects is easy. Just e-mail photos of your projects to submissions@meredith.com and put “Etc.” in the subject line. E-mail submission file size must be 500k or less.
This column will first appear in the August/September issue. They have an ongoing need for these types of projects and will be accepting them at any time.

Thank-you for this wonderful idea. I was working on a craft for my Ann Arbor Children's Crafts examiner column and it has turned into two projects , 1 for children 1 for adults and 8 weeks of crafting. I am looking for someplace to submit the adult project. This is helpful and great information. Thank-you.
