Beware of the Junkman Steve Milloy

Editors and readers should beware of Steve Milloy, a man who tries to present himself as an independent scientific expert in any media venue he can find. Milloy is anything but independent, he is a common industry rent-boy who will pull out his junk on demand for anyone with a corporate credit card, literally. Eric Conway, coauthor of Merchants of Doubt, explains, "Milloy worked with one of Philip Morris's public relations firms in the early 1990s to establish The Advancement of Sound Science Coalition. TASSC worked to cast doubt on any scientific result that suggested the need for environmental, health, or safety by labeling it "junk science." One of Milloy's current projects is a website called junkscience, where's he's known as the Junkman."

Milloy never met a toxin he didn't like, as long as the money was right. Now he's at it again, firing off op-eds to resurrect the discredited 'climate conspiracy' in the wake of new data showing 2010 as the hottest year on record so far and multiple investigations exonerating those falsely smeared in the CRU email theft. Media beware of running his op-eds, not only does this clown have zero credibility, he will damage yours.
