Space shuttle Endeavour lands safely at Kennedy Space Center

Following a 14 day mission, space shuttle Endeavour and its crew safely land in Florida at 10:20 p.m. EST.

Endeavour was ok's for its deorbit burn to take place at 9:14 p.m. EST, after some uncertainty at what the weather was going to be like. But it was much more stable than originally though and the shuttle was given a go for landing.

A news conference with managers at Kennedy is set for sometime before midnight and will be live on NASA TV and on the web at NASA's TV website.

The welcome ceremony for the crew will be held in Houston at Ellington Field's NASA Hangar 990 on Monday at 4:00 p.m. CS.
