Condoms can prevent prostate cancer

Researchers at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and Brigham and Women's Hospital found a high correlation between the common sexually transmitted infection, Trichomonas vaginalis, and the risk of advanced and lethal prostate cancer.

Trichomonas vaginalis may be the source of prostate inflammation that plays a major role in the development and progression of prostate cancer. Trichomonas vaginalis is non viral, infects 174 million people a year, and produces no symptoms in men.

The study compares 673 blood samples of men who developed prostate cancer with 673 blood samples of men who did not develop prostate cancer. The samples were taken ten years prior to development of prostate cancer in any of the participants.

Trichomonas vaginalis infection increased the chances of having prostate cancer by two and increased the chances of death by three times.

Trichomonas vaginalis infection is easily treated with antibiotics and is preventable with the use of condoms.

The study shows behavioral modification can prevent a cause of prostate cancer. That means condoms in simple language.

Latex can prevent a lot of disease.

This should be added to the debate about insurance reform.

Should the tax payer or the individual be made responsible for the negligent and stupid behavior of others? If the consequences of the behavior are immediate or long term is everyone except the person behaving negligently forced to be responsible for the results of that negligent behavior. This includes smokers, drug addicts, alcoholics, and those who just cannot find the time to practice safe sex.

You all are forced to do this with the present health care system and the future glorious changes proposed by both parties.

My question is why? Why am I forced to be generous to the negligently stupid?
