Looks like the Captain America search is finally over. (Oh, please let it be over—the suspense is killing us!)
Chris Evans, who already portrayed one Marvel superhero on the big screen—the Human Torch in two Fantastic Four movies—has been offered the role of The First Avenger, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Evans, who wasn't in the initial round of actors being considered, wasn't asked to screen-test for the part. The offer is for more than just a single film, as the role entails starring in up to three Captain America movies plus the Avengers movies and appearances in several other Marvel movies.
Why hasn't the actor immediately snapped up the part? Apparently Evans is committed to co-starring in the Anna Faris romantic comedy What's Your Number?, and both films are scheduled to shoot this summer, so the conflict must be resolved.
No comment as yet from either Marvel or Evans' agent at CAA—but what do you think?

You know, I don't really like the idea of one guy playing more than one superhero role but because (for some odd reason) The Fantastic Four and The Avengers aren't in the same Marvel movie universe, I'm cool with it... sort of. At any rate, if the suspense is over, it'll all be worthwhile, I'm sure. Besides, I think Chris Evans can pull it off. Although, I think Chris Pine would have been better. But I'm just a cable guy. What the hell do I know?
So, what happens when the Fanastic Four and the Avengers show up in the same movie?
I would say Chris Evans would be perfect for the role of Captain American. Very Charming actor!
Chris Evans is very charming but Steve Rogers isn't a charming character. He's a tough introverted badass leader and I just don't see Chris Evans pulling if off. He looks like an abercrombie model. They should have cast Jon Hamm or a slightly younger version of Jon Hamm. We'll see if this is true - the last time we heard this about Krasinski, it was revealed to be BS.

what the hell,why not john cena as capt.he has the body and attitude down pact,plus he can do his own stunts.
