Disney World is preparing for the upcoming release of “Tron: Legacy” by redesigning its monorails as the Light Cycles from Tron. The new trains will start to run on the Epcot monorail line sometime this month, which will be nine months before the movie comes out.
Check out the cool new design which is like the futuristic lightcycle, a virtual motorcycle that weaves trails of solid color light behind it, from Tron. Look a little closer and you’ll see walls of trailing colored light. The new monorails should look amazing zooming around Epcot.

This is the first conclusive evidence that, like the rumors say, Disney is planning a big promo push for Tron that will include a long-term present in the theme park. While still rumors, the buzz is that a new Flynn’s Arcade and a Tron: Legacy ride in Tomorrowland are being considered. Hope these rumors come to pass. This would be a great addition to the Disney World of the Future.
“Tron: Legacy” is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world Disney says is “unlike anything ever captured on the big screen.” The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17. For all the others aout there that are excited about this flick, here’s the latest trailer that just popped up on the net.

That's very good news about monorails and (hopefully) new additions to Future World. I agree with you, that a Tron attraction or two would be welcome additions.
