K-W-L Model discussion for five Self-Mentoring lesson plans

Class will discuss the & W of the K-W-L Model at the beginning of the lesson: What do you KNOW and what do you WANT TO KNOW about why Self-Mentoring yourself is a form of demonstrating good Character Traits? At the end of the lesson, they will close with the L discussion: What have you LEARNED about those concepts?

Step 1: Introductory Discussion on Self-Mentoring & Good Character Traits

A. Ask the “K” question of the K-W-L MODEL.

1. Teacher Asks: This lesson is on learning about whySelf-Mentoring yourself is a form of demonstrating good Character Traits.

For the K of the K-W-L Model, what do you KNOW about what are the main good Character Traits?

Students Respond:Accept Reasonable Answers such as:
