Nurse! Get the team together, stat! Three Rivers is failing. They need a ratings transplant right away! If only we can find a suitable donor.
Alas, I don't think it will happen. According to The Live Feed, CBS has put the organ donor medical drama on life support, burning off the final episodes as they see fit. CBS says the show will remain in production but only to finish the original order of 13 episodes. After that, I'd say it's flat line time.
That's two shows down for hunky Alex O'Loughlin. His vampire series Moonlight suffered a similar fate despite fan outcry. I'm not sure too many fans will be crying over Three Rivers. As much as the lead is a fan favorite, the show isn't as evidenced by this VERY quiet Three Rivers fan forum.
And please, I don't want to know what fans would send to CBS to protest the cancellation. A liver maybe?

Three Rivers Fans forum is FAR from "VERY quiet." The only way to read the forum is if you're a member, and obviously, you're not.
The www.threeriversfans.com/forum site is extremely lively. We have close to 45,000 posts in a little over a 6-month period. The only reason you were not able to read most of the posts is because you're not a member.
Quiet? The Alex fans are anything but quiet. The TRfans site has been busy with thouands of posts. We love the show and Alex and it's evident.
The "liver" snippet is not appreciated
I am a member of Three Rivers Fans forum, and I can tell you we are not quiet. The board is very aware and upset of the cancellation of Three Rivers. We are all deeply saddened, and with the class act we are all, we are supporting Alex and the cast of Three Rivers with the respect they deserve. Something maybe you should learn.
I'll bet that the snarky column was meant to elicit comments to fill the examiner.com page. Don't reward them. WE KNOW how we feel about this sad news.
It is so sad when you have to resort to misinformation and innuendo to get hits on your blog. Threeriversforum has thousands of posts but you have to join to see them. Resorting to tactics based on your opinion and not the facts speaks volumes of you as a blogger. And joking about something as important as organ transplantation by thinking it is funny to say we would send livers to CBS is beyond insensitive; it is disgusting. I agree though. This show had too much class for you so I am sure its message was over your head. Who knows? Maybe someday you or a loved one will need a transplant to survive and Alex and his fans (who have increased organ donation levels markedly) will be the reason you or your loved one got one in time and were saved.
Alex is the reason the show failed. He is a horrible actor and CBS used this show to try and make him some kind of star. Alfre Woodard and Daniel Henney are both amazing actors. They had to take a back seat so CBS could pimp Alex. Alex caused another CBS show to fail. More people hate Alex than are fans.
This was the most boring and dumb show on CBS. Alex is a boring and terrible actor. No wonder people did not watch. Just a few old women who think Alex is hunky. He is the worst actor ever and let us hope he leaves the US and never comes back. Daniel Henney was the best actor on the show and deserves his own show.
Alex O'Loughlin is a boring and this show was also. This is the second failure of his in a row. I hope CBS realizes he ruined this show with his goofy and smug looks. The rest of the cast was amazing and talented but were but in the background while pushing Alex down people's throats. That is the reason people would not watch.

ZZZZZZZZZ I see a few of the haters (or one pretending to be a few) have found their way over here from the CBS board. Same worn out comment. Alex is NOT the reason this show didn't make it you bitter idiots! Stuff it!
It was not only Alex's fault. The writers were bad also.
To all those people with hateful comments....get a life. Losers!
Alex is far from the reason TR was cancelled. I think you need to move out of mommy's basement and get some fresh air because the lead fumes are getting to your head.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Katherine Moennig, Daniel Henney and Alfre Woodard were amazing in this show. Alex was the weak link and has proven why he fails.
I hope Daniel and Kate find other tv shows really soon. Both are so amazing and talented. They deserve much more than this crummy show offered them.
Wow this site is based in Milwaukee, damn I live in Wisconsin too, thank goodness the conservative part where we still believe in good manners and kindness to all. You and your "followers" should really go to *^#@! Alex was the only reason viewers tuned in in the first place and stayed because they liked what they saw. I had never heard of Daniel or Kate before this show, and guess what, I am not rude, they are skilled actors. Have a greatday.
I am of fan of Kate , while I am sadden about the show's status, I am not surprised. The focus on Alex all the time just did the show in. I know the Alex fans thought it was just wonderful that their guy was the focus. But that tunnel focus did not let the fans see anything else. The viewing public was just not intrested in Alex. You can twist it anyway you want but Alex did not grow on the audience. Alex Fans can not have it both ways you can not clamor for him to be the only focues and when it fails say the other actors have to share the blame. CBS ran with him and it did not work. That is the bottom line.
I found Alex to be only an okay actor and nothing special. CBS tried to force him by making the show all about him. That was a failure. Katherine Moennig and Daniel Henney are much better actors and deserved more air time and to be promoted as stars also. Alex failed once again and proved he is a terrible actor.
I think a huge proble was focusing so much on Alex and ignoring the younger Daniel and Katherine. They would have brought in the much needed younger audience. And it is obvious by many polls over the internet that they are much more popular than Alex ever was. Too bad CBS, you really missed the ball with this one. I have a feeling Kate and Daniel will not allow you to play with them and their career the way Alex lets you. You have made a complet idiot out of Alex and now he is stuck with you.
This show was just okay. CBS used this show to try and make Alex a star and it did not work. CBS should have made it an ensemble show they way it was planned. Alex was on the screen 80% of the time while the rest of the cast had to take a back seat to him. Alex is just not a good actor. He is cut and the old ladies like him. But Daniel, Kate and Chris are cuter, better actors, have more fans and their fans are much younger. That is the coveted demo CBS claims to want. Maybe CBS should let Alex go back home and work with some younger and hipper upcoming stars that can bring it. Alex has failed twice, Let Daniel and Kate have a chance. They can do it.
To whomever the 14 year old with the alex complex is:
Your twisted mindset seems to be nothing but a vessel for obvious resentment. I think I know who you are and that makes it all the more pathetic. You, Sir, have delusions of adequacy. Good day to you
Three Rivers was a great show. It was just thrown into an impossible time slot (God, I hate football) and they showed the wrong show as the premiere. I still miss Moonlight, now I miss Three Rivers. I will just follow Alex O'Loughlin wherever he goes. I can't wait to see The Back-Up Plan in April. Alex is a star and a brilliant talent and soon the whole world will see that and he will get the recognition that he deserves. Rock on, Alex O!!!
