Entertainment Weekly is reporting that CBS has scaled back on this season of Numb3rs, cutting their normal 22 episode order down to 16. That's a hefty cut and it's got to mean this will be the show's last season.

Numb3rs is one of my favorite TV shows but I sadly must agree that it's time to put the show to bed. I feel that they've run out of new ways to include Charlie's math in Don's FBI crimes. They've done a lot to showcase the supporting cast members and to expand on the personal lives of the leads, but there's nothing new and the excitement is fading.

Right now is a great time to end the show. Charlie is about to get married and Don is contemplating life outside of the FBI. I'd like to see them end on a wedding with Don leaving to find himself. A nice ending for the characters we love and yet leaving it open for a reunion movie down the road.

What do you think? Should we run a Save Our Show Campagin for Numb3rs. Or should we let this excellent show finish up and go out on a high note?
