(Sarasota, FL) The Sarasota Millionaires high school football game of the week crew travels to Sarasota’s Ihrig Field Friday night to broadcast the Booker Tornadoes vs. Sarasota Sailors regular season opener. Airtime on www.dougmilesmedia and Ustream.tv is 7:25 PM EDT.
Millionaires play-by-play announcer Doug Miles and Hall of Fame Coach John Mackler will call the game. Last Friday, the Sailors dropped a 10-7 decision at Lakewood Ranch in the Kickoff Classic.
The Sailors open the regular season under new coach Ed Volz who lead the Braden River Pirates to the playoffs last season before returning to Sarasota High School last spring.
The Millionaires will also begin tryouts and combine sessions next Sunday (September 5th) at Booker High School in Sarasota beginning at 5:30 PM. Any players interested in being part of the Millionaires roster for the upcoming season, visit the team’s website www.sarasotamillionaires.net for registration information. Tryouts will be each Sunday throughout September.
