Most families have finished the last of their turkey leftovers, and are getting ready to head back to work on Monday, but former governor Sarah Palin is already back to work, kicking off the second leg of her Going Rogue book tour Sunday in Richland, Washington.

Palin spent Thanksgiving with family at her Aunt's home in Richland and participated in The Red Cross' Turkey Trot on Thursday.

Palin fans, aware that the former vice presidential candidate was in town and scheduled to sign copies of her memoir at noon Sunday at the Hastings book store in Richland, lined up as early as 26 hours in advance. The Tri-City Herald reported that by 2:30 p.m. on Saturday about two dozen fans had claimed a spot outside the store. Fans camped out with chairs, sleeping bags, heaters, and an RV. When Palin arrived Sunday at 11:30am, thousands of fans greeted her.

"This is the biggest book-signing event ever at the Hastings store here," said Justin Cardenas, the manager, "and probably the biggest one ever in this town."

YakimaHerald.com reports that most of the crowd was older and there were few people waiting in line who looked to be in their 20s or under. But there was one group of young women. One of them was Kassie Elfering, 19, of Pasco-- a sophomore at Columbia Basin College, majoring in pharmacy.

"I like her morals," Elfering said about Palin. "What she says, she believes in. She proves it in real life."

"Going Rogue" was released November 17. Its publisher, HarperCollins, said it sold 700,000 copies in its first week of sale. Palin is scheduled for book signings Monday in Arizona and New Mexico.

NOT ONE coherent reason why Palin is so bad. Never is. It is just juvenile name calling. That says it all.
