Palin mocked as blunder woman in MAD magazine

Another year has come and gone and MAD magazine has released their list of the 20 dumbest people of 2009. The new issue which hit newsstands on Tuesday the 17th features the annual "MAD 20," which includes Glenn Beck, Michael Jackson, Jon & Kate, David Letterman, Kanye West, Bernie Madoff, Chris Brown, and Sarah Palin.

As if Newsweek's cover of Sarah Palin clad in short running shorts wasn't controversial enough, MAD magazine has entered the mix, portraying the former Alaskan Governor as "Blunder Woman"--a superhero battling the likes of David Letterman, imaginary death panels, and her desire to quit everything she does. The Palin sketch depicts her in a skimpy Wonder Woman-esque outfit standing behind three different comic book covers.

MAD magazine isn't the first however to mock Palin comic-book style as Devil’s Due Comics gave Palin an apocalyptic makeover for their Barack the Barbarian series.

The MAD magazine parody did catch the eye of the Alaska Ear: the satire department of the "Anchorage Daily News (ADN)." ADN said, " Since Ear personally knows 23 stupider people, it's not a true fact. But at least she looks better as a drawing in tights than in those running shorts. And, because No. 1 on the Mad list is Michael Jackson, taste obviously weighed lightly in the selection. But isn't that what we love about Mad?"
