Palin doesn't rule out presidential run in 2012

Former Governor Sarah Palin captivated many with her rousing speech at the first ever national Tea Party convention, FOX has added her to their lineup, she's stumping for candidates across the country, and has proved she's a political contender.

With the Obama administration's decisions on the war on terror and keeping the health care bill behind closed doors, critics are looking for change. Every move Palin  makes is analyzed throughout news networks and blogs and the one question on everyone's mind is will she run for president in 2012?

As expected, Palin has been quiet on the issue, but she gave a glimmer of hope to her supporters on Fox News Sunday. "I think that it would be absurd not to consider" a 2012 run, Palin said.  She said she would jump into the next presidential race if she believed it was "the right thing to do for the country" and for her family.

Asked whether she might run on the Tea Party ticket, Palin declined to answer directly, saying she hoped that the Tea Part movement remains a "movement of the people" and that its members "don't believe that they need some kind of well-oiled machine" to have a political impact.

With the support of the tea party movement, some surveys suggest she could have the support for  a competitive campaign. A poll last week had her leading, by a few points, the pack of potential GOP candidates. The Research 2000 poll also showed Republican voters viewing her as more qualified to be president than Obama by a 4-1 margin.

Palin downplayed the poll in her FOX interview saying "I know that polls are fickle," and said she has "no idea" who will emerge. "I can't wait to see who rises to the surface," she added.

Even if Palin doesn't run for president in 2012, she's already shown that she'll continue to play a role in politics and doesn't need a title to inspire change. But as we saw at the Tea Party convention when convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session and audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run," it's evident Sarah Palin can be a contender.

Please read the entire Research 2000 poll of self identified Republicans. Some of the results are jaw dropping.

I do not believeshe will run in 2012. She will wait until 2016 when it is an open office.

Years ago, I used to belong to the same "Assemblies of God" cult as Palin, although in a different city. I just hope the Joint Chiefs of Staff have an interpreter on hand for when she "speaks in tongues" with a message from the Holy Ghost. Otherwise, we might have a few problems.

Oh and because "Gary" left "the Assemblies of God cult" that means that "Gary" is right and "the Assemblies of God cult" is wrong GOTCHA. Brilliant "Gary" you convinced me.

To "Check Out the Loser Below Me":

If you can prove that telepathic messages in a gibberish language are authentic, I will happily retract my statement. I'm sure the Joint Chiefs would be happy to have a Commander-in-Chief with such a direct line of communication to the Creator of the universe. As a matter of fact, the Creator and the Holy Ghost could end up being America's most valuable military advisers, once their messages are properly decoded.
