Highlights from the Luxury Pet Pavilion in Los Angeles

As the nation’s premiere pet products showcase, the Luxury Pet Pavilion returned to Los Angeles on March 7 and 8 with a heart-pounding and head-turning exhibition at the Westin-Bonaventure Hotel.

More than a red-carpet event for the four-legged set, the show featured an awesome array of vendors and retailers from across the country, who were eager to show off their wares. And what a GINORMOUS collection of canine couture and accessories there was! Everything from FouFou Dog designer dogwear and hand-crafted crystal dog brushes and collars by Crystal Affair to gourmet dog treats by Want A Cookie (the official cookie of Prez. Obama’s forthcoming pooch) and luxury doggie bunkbeds by LazyBoneZZ.

Highlights from the two-day show included appearances by celebrity swimsuit designer and Ruff Houzen Animal Rescue founder Ashley Paige, “pawtograph” signing by Travis Brorsen and his Boxer Presley, winners of the CBS show, Greatest American Dog, author Arden Moore, How to Party with Your Pup, and dog trainer and author Kyra Sundance. The Best of the Best awards ceremony was MC’d by Megan Blake, actress, animal advocate and host of the show, Animal Attractions.

Stephanie Ellis, the founder and president of Luxury Pet Pavilion, firmly believes in giving back to the community and, with that in mind, she was thrilled to announce the return of Angel on a Leash as the event’s official charity. Angel on a Leash champions the use of therapy dogs in health care facilities, schools, rehabilitation, hospice, extended care, correctional facilities and crisis intervention. The non-profit organization also promotes the role of the human-animal bond as a way to enhance human health and a better quality of life.
