This isn't a post about Jerry Rice's career and his journey into the Hall of Fame. This is actually a little idea that I've been thinking about for a while.
Over the years, some great 49ers have been recently inducted to the Hall of Fame: Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Fred Dean and Steve Young. And up until now, I have never been to Pro Football's Hall of Fame.
I have always dreamed of watching a 49ers great being enshrined into the Hall. And for me, since I have actually saved up money, I believe that this may be the time for me to plan a trip to Canton, Ohio.
And this is the perfect year. 49ers great Jerry Rice is eligible for the Hall of Fame next year and I am pretty sure he's going to go in. With that in mind, I would love to plan a trip down to Canton for August 2010. There, I would take a tour of the Hall, go to the enshrinement ceremony and possibly even catch the Hall of Fame game.
And if I have time, head up to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
But as the Hall of Fame class for this year will get inducted next month, I am really anticipating Jerry Rice's enshrinement. And as a 49ers fan, I want to be there. After all, RIce can be credited as a major factor to three Super Bowl wins and pretty much every wide receivers model of being the best. Would any of you be willing to take a trip to Canton also?
