On Tuesday, the rookies and quarterbacks reported to training camp. On Thursday, the rest of the team arrived in Santa Clara.
What's on schedule for the 49ers for the next 15 days will be two-a-day practices with pads. And from what the schedule looks like, it will be something very different than before.
From Matt Maiocco:
"Brutal" is how both Justin Smith and Patrick Willis described it.
Smith said the 49ers will do tackling drills.
"I've never done tackling drills in the NFL," Smith said. "It's back to basics."
It will be interesting to see how Singletary will run his first ever training camp. But from what I can expect, he will add the intensity that he has displayed since his days as a player.

The 49ers have filled their final roster spot with DL Babatunde Oshinowo. Here is the press release information on him from the team on the one-year deal.
Oshinowo (6-1, 325) originally entered the league as a sixth-round selection (181st overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2006 NFL Draft. That year, Oshinowo spent time on the practice squad and was on the Browns active roster for three games, appearing in one and registering two tackles. He signed with the Chicago Bears in 2007, where he was on the practice squad before being activated for the final three games of the season, appearing in one. Oshinowo was on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad in 2008. He signed with the Carolina Panthers on January 28, 2009, but was released on June 26.
Oshinowo, 26, is a native of Naperville, IL, and played collegiately at Stanford.

Matt Barrows of the Sac Bee says that Ricky Jean-Francois' stomach ailment came courtesy of a spider bite. But no official confirmation yet on the report.
And as expected, rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree has yet to report to camp and there have been no advances so far in contract negotiations. Tight end Vernon Davis has been vocal about the situation, saying that they need to get Crabtree to camp.
"We don't have time to mess around and wait," Davis said.
