Once the NFL playoffs are finished, the free agency discussion will start to heat up. With all teams looking for the next best fit for their team for a Super Bowl run, finding the right players for the right team will be a challenging task for all organizations.
For the 49ers, the team could upgrade at nearly every position. Thanks to Josh Lobdell of the Sports Business Examiner, he has provided a list of this year's free agency class.
We're going to take a look at the wide receivers to see if any of these players could fit well with the 49ers.as well.

The 49ers have their top two wide receivers already established in Michael Crabtree and Josh Morgan. With the retirement of Isaac Bruce and the probable departure of Arnaz Battle, the 49ers are looking for some depth at the position. The team can look to Jason Hill and Brandon Jones for receiving help, but adding a player that can make a difference could be an option.
The 49ers won't lock up a #1 receiver like Vincent Jackson or Chris Chambers; and securing a #2 guy like Steve Breaston might be out of the question too. The team can look for a receiver that is a #3 or #4 type of guy. With this position not high on the priority list, the 49ers aren't in a necessary need to secure a receiver.
However, they can look for a player that would be a great punt and kickoff returner. Domenik Hixon is the one that sticks out to me. Why?
No one on the 49ers roster can do that. And if the 49ers are going to get a wide receiver in free agency, they are looking for a returner more than a receiver.
