According to Matt Barrows, WR Isaac Bruce has decided to return to the 49ers. Bruce was told by head coach Mike Singletary that a decision had to be made on Wednesday.
Now with Bruce coming back for the second and final year of his contract, the 49ers have that veteran presence back on the team. After leading the team with 61 catches, 835 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, the 49ers have their most reliable receiver back on the team.
More importantly, the team now has their "mentor" for the younger receivers on the team. Bruce will join Josh Morgan, Jason Hill, Arnaz Battle and newly acquired Brandon Jones as the receivers for the team.
The 49ers now still can pursue free agent WR Torry Holt. Even though Holt has been visiting other teams that need a wide receiver, wouldn't an incentive to reunite with former teammate Isaac Bruce be something for Holt? It's an idea, but at least the team now has an experienced receiver back on the team.

AAAAAWESOME!!!!! BRUCE YOU DA MAN!!!!!!
The 49ers should get Torry Holt. That addition should open up this team's passing game.
****BREAKING NEWS*****ESPN JUST REPORTED ON TV THAT 49ERS GOT JAY CUTLER FOR 1ST PICK AND KENTWAN BALMER
Finally, we got ourselves a stud for QB. Championship!!!!
Great trade. Balmer was a bum anyways. Looks like all the pieces are starting to come together and a hot QB to really open up the offense.
Jake "the Crybaby" Cutler will destroy the 49ers being the cancer that he is. Shaun Hill was doing a nice job and they'll be rewarding a big baby for throwing a tantrum.
April Fool!
