Brandon Jones injured his shoulder in the first week
of training camp but could return to the field tomorrow.

Head coach Mike Singletary spoke to the media on Friday and one of the topics of discussion was the return of WR Brandon Jones.
Jones signed with the 49ers this off-season but injured his shoulder in the first week of training camp. He has been medically cleared to play since last week, but has yet to see playing time in the regular season.
There could be a chance that Jones might see some action on Sunday.
Singletary made it look like it would be a "wait and see" approach:
“That’s going to be a situation that we will continue to talk about. I’ve been talking to [receivers coach] Jerry Sullivan, I’ve been talking to [offensive coordinator] Jimmy Raye. It depends on, as we look at the final day of preparation, what they feel his role could be this week. So, we’ll see... I just think he has to continue to find his niche. He missed a lot of time there and when he got hurt, he was just beginning to get into a groove there and find some synergy. But right now it’s just a matter of him getting back in sync with the offense and what we’re trying to do and go forward with that."
When the 49ers signed Jones this off-season, he was expected to possibly end up as the #3 receiver behind Isaac Bruce and Josh Morgan. But right now, he should be behind those two and Arnaz Battle and Micheal Spurlock. WR Jason Hill has not seen much in the first two weeks and if somehow Jones is above Hill on the depth chart, that might cause some issues.
Hill feels that his finish to the 2008 season should warrant him more playing time and a better standing on the depth chart. However, he has received the opposite. So, we shall see how Jones and Hill fit into the mix on Sunday.
