On the November 25, 2009 The Glenn Beck Program radio show, Beck made the surprising claim that he is at the point where he can no longer support U.S. military action in Afghanistan and Iraq. Beck, a staunch supporter of our military, is saddened over the upcoming Navy SEAL's Court-Martial set for January 2010. The SEAL's captured Ahmed Hashim Abed, believed to be the mastermind behind the horrifying torture, murder and hanging of four Blackwater Security members in Fallujah in 2004. The alleged terrorist claims that he was punched and given a bloody lip by the SEAL's during his capture. Abed filed charges against the SEAL's. Now, rather than being hailed as the heroes they are, they have to defend themselves. As a friend of the brother of one of the Blackwater victims, I can personally attest to the pain this is causing the families.
Glenn Beck has been frustrated with President Obama's failure to heed the advice of the general he appointed. Beck said "I no longer support the military actions that we're in because the way we're doing them. I don't believe that we are fighting to win. I believe that we are creating another Vietnam and I believe we are selling our military out, and I believe if this president doesn't get serious about our troops, treat them right, put them as our first priority, he should bring them home, and I understand what that means." Months ago, General McChrystal told Obama he needed 40,000 more troops in order to assure victory in Afghanistan. The president has taken a shocking amount of time to make his decision, which he will announce this week. It appears that he intends to send an additional 30,000 troops.

I don't see your point. His point is that you go in, win, and get out...not drag out the war. I believe that was his point. I don't like the exact direction Obama's administration is going, but I do commend him for setting a time table. I hope, at least, he uses it as part of the strategy to "get in, win, and get out" rather then give it the "ole college try" after 3 years.
It is a shame that terrorist seem to get more rights than our service men and women. We should no longer take prisoners leave them dead on the battle field. That is what they deserve.
Beck is a douche bag.
Marines don't get to beat up terrorists once they are handcuffed and in custody. Only a coward hits a man when he is in hand cuffs, no matter what the accusations are.
Margie, this has nothing to do with anything...but go back to the comment section of my article on Crystal Balls and Magic 8 Balls, I left a comment there for you cuz I didn't know how to email you. :-) Cherrie Ward
It is a sad state of affairs when our servicemen are treated less than a terrorist.
I, for one, am all for more respect for our troops.
As an ex-military wife of 20 years, I support our troops 100%...but I often do NOT support the decisions of leaders that too often put them in harms way WITHOUT giving them the "support" they need. That is a crime :(
