The Kings dug themselves a 17-point deficit, and for much of Saturday's game against Chicago, Sacramento appeared content to just coast through the last weekend in Vegas.
But fueled by the hot hand of Omri Casspi, the Kings stormed back, and much like they did against the Bulls in December of last season, they stole a game that belonged to Chicago.
Casspi's fifth three-pointer tied the game at 75 with 24.1 seconds left. After the Kings forced a Bulls turnover, Casspi led the fast break, sending an outlet pass to Tyrese Rice who was fouled at the rim with 1.8 seconds remaining. The Boston College product connected on one of two from the line.
On the ensuing possession, Bulls guard Morris Almond missed a 30-foot launch, giving the Kings a satisfying comeback win.
Casspi took control in the second half. His stellar shooting included a successful half-court heave that beat the third quarter buzzer and kept Sacramento in the game.
The second-year forward finished with a game-high 22 points to go with 5 rebounds.
DeMarcus Cousins struggled to find his shooting stroke, as he did Friday. The rookie went just 3-for-15 from the field, posting 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Dionte Christmas was another bright spot for the Kings. The reserve has shown a positive attitude all week, encouraging teammates and giving all out effort on the defensive end. Christmas found the offensive game he is known for on Saturday, scoring 13 points (4-for-6 field goals) in 16 minutes.
Sacramento (4-1) wraps up its summer league schedule Sunday with a 5 p.m. game against Dallas.
